Changes to the NetBSD Packages Collection in August 1998

In August, we added some new categories: corba, cross (which is the
home for cross-compilers and cross-environments), and pkgtools. We
also added some packages (notably the games and benchmarks,
cross-compile environments for iX86/Linux, ORBit, afterstep,
magicpoint, and scilab), and updated packages - notable ones are
xemacs, vnc, ucd-snmp, fetchmail, mozilla, cvs, lesstif and emacs.
We also made some changes to the package system itself: Homepage URLs
have been added, where possible, to package Makefiles and the
generated README.html files, a NOT_FOR_ARCHS variable has been added
to complement the ONLY_FOR_ARCHS one, and we have added flexibility to
pkg_info, so that it can match packages in a less-complicated and
static manner. We've also added a package (pkgtools/pkg_install)
which includes these updated package tools, so that users who do not
run NetBSD-current can use the -current pkgsrc without having to
update any other parts of their system.
