TUG 2018 [1], the 39th Annual Meeting of the TeX Users Group, will be held in Rio de Janeiro in July 20-22, 2018. It is a satellite event of the International Congress of Mathematicians 2018. LuaTeX [2], the engine behind most modern installations of TeX, uses Lua as its embedded scripting language. TUG 2018 will contain several talks on the use of Lua [3], including a talk by Roberto. The TUG 2018 logo, created by Duane Bibby, author of the TeX lion, features Lua prominently [4]. It's a great opportunity to come and visit Rio!
