Going to the very useful http://lua-users.org/lists/lua-l/ and
searching for 'annotated lua'
we get:

which points to official annotated source at lua.org, plus something I
did because I didn't know it previously existed ;)
Anyway, basic machinery is there, 'just' need to add interactive
annotation capability .....
