If the question means "what Lua can do that no other programming
languages can do" the answer is "nothing".
Otherwise, for any particular programming language "X", please ask
"What can Lua do that X can't do?". This question is most often
asked when X=[python,perl, ruby].
But the best question is "In which situations is it likely that Lua would be
a better choice than any other programming language?"
