The IESG has received a request from the Hypertext Transfer Protocol Bis WG (httpbis) to consider the following document: - 'Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP/1.1): Range Requests' <draft-ietf-httpbis-p5-range-24.txt> as Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. In either case, please retain the beginning of the Subject line to allow automated sorting. Abstract The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is an application-level protocol for distributed, collaborative, hypertext information systems. This document defines range requests and the rules for constructing and combining responses to those requests.
