[WriteLog] Install problem

Thought I’d check out what’s new in WriteLog. Got the 12.31 demo but it will not install. Here is the error text. Install rolls back.
“An error occurred during the installation of assembly ‘Microsoft.VC90.CRT, version=”9.0.30729.6161”, publicKeyToken=”1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b”, processorArchitecture=”x86”,type=”win32”.

This also occurs if I try to install the 12.10 full version I have. Identical error message. I ran the ‘DeleteWL12UserRegistryEntries.vbs’ script just in case. I found some references to .Net 3.5 installation. .Net 3.5 is enabled on this machine.
I ran the System File Checker and restarted. After trying the install again I found several entries in the CBS.log relating to Microsoft.VC90.xxx assemblies. Here’s one:
