[WriteLog] DAT Confusion

Hi folks. Hope someone can straighten me out on the different DAT and CTY
files. I understand that wwl_cty.dat is the main country file for Writelog,
and I understand how to run "Convert CTY to Writelog" utility, no problem.

I guess my question is, where do the other DAT and CTY files come into play,
such as ARRL.cty, IARU.cty, CQWW.cty, MASTERRTTY.dta, VK-CTY.dat and such.
DO I have to do anything to the files other than wl_cty.dat when it is
updated?

Would appreciate some insight into these other files.
