Hi Bob, As long as the ones you want to use are defined in Windoz as COMxx teh WL can use them for any of it's CommSlot assignments by adding to the writelog.ini file. See Below: [Ports] CommSlot3=5 So if I look at my port setup what I will see for choices are COM1 COM2 COM5 COM4 Hope this helps Ric KV1W -----Original Message----- From: writelog-bounces at contesting.com [mailto:writelog-bounces at contesting.com]On Behalf Of Robert McGwier Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 3:48 PM To: writelog at contesting.com Subject: [WriteLog] Com port limitations How do I use the com ports I have available for CW and CAT (com ports 8 and 6 respectively)? I already know the disappointing answer. I have virtual ports that I am attempting to use to run my software defined radio for CW and CAT (which works fine with all programs that address those high number com ports). Hopefully this limitation can be addressed soon.
