[WriteLog] Strange and frustrating WinXP LPT CW saga

I bet it wouldn't. That's the first thing I tried, and I think Norton found 
something like 150 entries, which still left 100 or so more. :(

 I bet that running Norton's WinDoctor, which is part of Norton
 Utilities, would clean up the registry.
