Is the question mark used correctly in this quotation, or is a comma needed before the attribution?: 'Will you go back to Word of Life camp?' asked the camp counselor.
you are correct. If the thing you are quoting is a question then you leave the ? alone. If the way you are quoting it is still a question, then you can put another ? oustlde the quotes, like this:

Did he say "Will you go back to Word of Life camp?"?

otherwise it would be

I know he said "Will you go back to Word of Life camp?".
