Francis Howell School District Board of Education approved Dr. Mike Dominguez as the District’s next superintendent. His contract will officially begin July 1, 2025, as current Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Roumpos transitions to a new role with Kirkwood School District.
The last day of school for grades K-11 is now Tuesday, June 3 and will be an Early Release Day for all students.
Francis Howell School District is ranked #1 in St. Charles County and 10th in Missouri by Niche's 2025 Best Districts list, placing in the top 3% with an A rating.

Francis Howell Central's esports team won the 2024 Overwatch State Championship, defeating Blue Springs South 3-1 in the final match.
Francis Howell Central’s girls wrestling program made history last season by winning the Class 2 State Championship, and Head Coach Kurt Kruse was honored as the MSHSAA Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year.

Nearly 60 high school students from three Francis Howell high schools participated in the Missouri Youth and Government (MOYAG) Convention in Jefferson City.
Officials from St. Charles County notified the District that a new road improvement project is likely to impact bus routes and travel to and from several Cottleville schools, including Francis Howell Central High School, Saeger Middle School and Warren Elementary School.
