LEGO and Minecraft fit together perfectly. The popular game is all about using your imagination to build just about anything out of digital blocks, and LEGO is the ideal medium to bring that into the real world. There are already a ton of LEGO Minecraft sets out there and more are on the way. Now that A Minecraft Movie is in theaters, Amazon is offering some pretty steep discounts on older sets that are actually really cool.
Although there were some newer Minecraft Movie LEGO sets released earlier this year, none of those have gone on sale. If you're a fan of the game itself and not just interested because of the new movie, however, the sets that are on sale are worth a look.
Although there are other LEGO Minecraft deals available on Amazon, the two options we've featured here are the best overall savings. First there's The Sword Outpost set, which is recognizable by the massive sword backdrop, of course. At just over 30,ドル this is the lowest price we've seen on this set all year and close to the lowest-ever price on Amazon. It also comes with quite a few minifigures, including Skeleton and Creeper mobs. With only 427 pieces, it's fairly easy to put together in an afternoon and can be easily displayed or played with once you're done.
The second discount we've highlighted here is The Deep Dark Battle Set. At 44ドル.49, this is the lowest price we've ever seen on this LEGO Minecraft set. This particular set takes you to the Deep Dark and offers some cool functionality for kids. There's a knob included in the build that lets you raise and lower the Warden. The tower can also "explode" with a built-in switch. You only get two minifigures with this set, but each one comes with armor and weapons you can equip them with.
There have only been two Minecraft Movie LEGO sets released so far: The Ghast Balloon Village Attack and Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring. Both of these sets reflect specific scenes from the movie and include minifigures of the characters, including Jack Black as Steve.
BAFTA — the UK's independent arts charity celebrating excellence in film, games, and TV — has just revealed the most influential video game of all time... and it's probably not what you think it is.
BAFTA polled the British public to discover that while games like GTA, Tetris, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Doom, and Half-Life 2 do make the list, the top as ranked by the number of votes received is Shenmue.
Action-adventure game Shenmue released in 1999 on Dreamcast. It follows Ryo Hazuki's quest to avenge his father's death in what BAFTA calls "a detailed open-world setting that truly captures the essence of Yokosuka in the ‘80s."
"Pioneering first-person shooter" Doom secured the runner-up prize, whilst 1985's Super Mario Bros. took the bronze.
Half-Life and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time round out the rest of the top five, respectively.
Interestingly, games like Grand Theft Auto 5, Halo, and Fortnite are conspicuously absent.
"I am deeply honoured and grateful that Shenmue has been selected as the Most Influential Video Game of All Time," said Yu Suzuki, creator of the Shenmue franchise.
"At its inception, we set out to explore the question, 'How real can a game become?,' aiming to portray a world and story unprecedented in scale and detail. This distinction serves as a powerful reminder that the challenge we embraced continues to resonate with and inspire so many people even today. It is truly the greatest of encouragement.
"Above all, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the fans around the world who have continued to love and support Shenmue," Suzuki added. "Your passion and encouragement have guided this journey every step of the way. And the story is not over yet, there is more to come! Thank you very much!"
The 2025 BAFTA Game Awards are set to take place on Tuesday April 8, 2025. Thank Goodness You're Here! also received seven nominations, Black Myth: Wukong six, and Helldivers 2 is up for five awards.
2024 BAFTA Game Awards winners included Baldur's Gate 3, which secured five wins, including Best Game, with other wins for Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Viewfinder.

]]>Often cited as one of the world's most valuable media franchises, Pokémon is a household name that's been a Nintendo staple since the Game Boy. The beloved series is home to hundreds of amazing creatures you can catch in-game or collect as trading cards, with each new generation bringing loads more to discover. Every console released by Nintendo has had plenty of Pokémon games released for it, and the Nintendo Switch is no exception.
With Nintendo's official Switch 2 announcement confirming the console's backward compatibility, you can feel confident picking up any existing Pokemon games on the Switch, knowing they'll carry over to the new system. Plus, Pokemon Day brought tons of new announcements about what's next for the franchise. Below, we've compiled every Pokémon game that has been released on Nintendo Switch and the information we have on upcoming Pokémon games releasing on the Switch 2.
In total, 12 Pokémon games have been released for the Nintendo Switch. This includes the mainline games for the 8th and 9th Pokémon generations as well as plenty of spinoffs. For the sake of this list, we've counted mainline entries with two versions as a single release. We also don't include the Pokémon games offered through Nintendo Switch Online, but you can check out that list below.
If you're wondering which game is worth picking up on the Switch in 2025, my recommendation is Pokémon Legends: Arceus. It's not going to give you that OG Pokémon game feeling, but that's what the older generation games are for. Instead, Legends: Arceus introduces more action and RPG elements to the Pokémon series, offering the freshness of open areas to explore, more control over encounters, and plenty of polish for the handheld. If you're looking to pick up new Switch games on sale, it's worth checking out Presidents' Day game deals this weekend.
Pokkén Tournament was originally released for the Wii U in 2016. A year later, Nintendo and Bandai Namco prepared a deluxe version of the game for Nintendo Switch, adding new characters and updated visuals to take advantage of better hardware. This three-on-three battle system is a blast to play with friends both in person and online.
Pokémon Quest turns all your favorite Pokémon into miniature cube form. This free-to-play Switch game features a fun and simple combat system where you send Pokémon on expeditions. Equip different abilities to your Pokémon to handle all types of encounters.
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! & Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are remakes of the beloved 1998 Pokémon Yellow. These titles were the first mainline Pokémon games ever to release on a home console, since none made it to the Wii U. Set in the Kanto region, all 151 original Pokémon appear with varying forms from previous mainline installments. With heavy accessibility features, these remakes were a great first step for the series on Nintendo Switch for newcomers and veterans of the series.
Pokémon Sword & Shield marked the first installment in the series to feature aspects of an open world. Dubbed the Wild Areas, these regions allowed for free traversal and battles with wild Pokémon. Gyms also made a return for the first time since X & Y. Additionally, Sword & Shield introduced the eigth generation of Pokémon, which included Dynamax and Gigantamax forms of previous Pokémon.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a remake of the 2005 titles Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team & Blue Rescue Team. Surprisingly, this is the first Pokémon spinoff remake ever, with development handled by Spike Chunsoft. The gameplay consists of completing jobs in different dungeons and unlocking new Pokémon along the way.
The other Pokémon release of 2020 was Pokémon Café ReMix featuring similar gameplay to other puzzle games like Disney Tsum Tsum, which requires you to connect Pokémon together to solve puzzles. In Pokémon Café ReMix, you and Eevee own a café and must serve the Pokémon who come for food or a little drink. This charming service game is free-to-play via the Nintendo eShop.
After more than 20 years, the Nintendo Switch is the console that finally received a sequel to Pokémon Snap. Developed by Bandai Namco, you traverse around different biomes and areas with an on-rails camera to capture pictures Pokémon in the wild. You can unlock new courses by taking good pictures in New Pokémon Snap, leaving for a sizeable amount of content to unlock and discover. You never know what you might find during each session!
This free-to-play game marked Pokémon's first entry into the MOBA genre. You command and control a team of five Pokémon in head-to-head battles against other players online. There's a solid amount of Pokémon to choose from, so you can adjust your team to best fit your needs. Pokémon Unite went on to be featured in different esports tournaments, with multiple championships held for the game.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl are remakes of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, which originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. As the fourth generation of Pokémon, Diamond & Pearl feature a wide variety of Pokémon to battle against and discover. The remakes feature a new chibi art style that was created to stay faithful to the original titles while still remaining fresh.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is often praised as one of the best Pokémon games available on the Switch. This original title takes place far in the past, somewhere in the Hisui region. With a focus on exploration, you can freely walk all around the map to capture Pokémon, explore different environments, and so much more. Pokémon can be spotted wandering around all over the map, which requires you to be strategic if you're looking to avoid battle.
The latest mainline Pokémon games officially kicked off Generation 9, bringing along an entire new approach to gameplay and world design. In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, an open world awaits with freedom to explore wherever your heart takes you. The DLC pass, titled The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, is now wrapped up, making it a perfect time to check out Scarlet & Violet.
One game and one movie later, the sequel to Detective Pikachu is finally available on Nintendo Switch. Tim's father is missing, and it's up to Detective Pikachu to solve the case! This sequel features new puzzles and investigations, where you can investigate scenes and use your notebook to get to the bottom of the mystery. If you're a fan of both Pokémon and mystery games, this is a great game to consider.
The Nintendo Switch Online subscription service has additional Pokémon titles if you're looking for more after completing the Nintendo Switch library. Here are the five Pokémon games you can play with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership:
Pokémon Day 2025 brought some solid announcements about new Pokémon games. Pokémon Legends: Z-A was initially announced last year, though a new gameplay trailer revealed the game's setting in Lumiose City within the Kalos regions. Tepig, Totodile, and Chikorita are familiar starting Pokémon, from Gen 2 and 5, but will be getting new Mega evolutions. "Rooftop parkour" and new battle mechanics also indicate an increased focused on real-time action. As far as a release date, "Fall 2025" is all we know for now. In the April 2025 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed that Pokémon Legends Z-A will release simultaneously on both Switch systems, with the Switch 2 edition featuring enhanced graphics and better framerates.
Game Freak and The Pokémon Company have also announced Pokémon Champions, a new battle game in the spirit of Pokemon Showdown. Coming to mobile devices and Switch, you'll be able to battle with Pokémon you've trained in other games through the Pokémon Home app.

Fortnite is getting a special Nintendo Switch 2 port that should keep those pesky technical issues from keeping players from a win, and the internet is already celebrating its potential.
Epic Games’ trend-setting battle royale showed up during a sizzle reel during today’s Switch 2 Direct to confirm that a new version is in development. What’s more is that it’s planned to launch day and date with Nintendo’s new hybrid console this June, meaning you’ll be able to check out all of the fancy new upgrades (whatever they may be) as soon as you unbox your Switch 2.
Fortnite fans have long complained that the Switch version of Fortnite has too many technical issues, keeping them from enjoying the massively popular free-to-play game on one of the most popular consoles of all time. Examples include drastically downgraded visuals compared to those seen on rival platforms, glitches that impact gameplay, and other annoyances that make it hard to justify spending time playing on Nintendo’s original Switch.
Epic has moved to improve performance in the past, but many Switch owners have found themselves wanting more – and now the Switch 2 is here to answer their prayers. With improved specs – including support for 120fps and up to 4K resolution when docked – Switch 2 will run beefier titles like Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, Final Fantasy 7: Remake, Cyberpunk 2077, and many more, and players are expecting to see Fortnite get a significant bump when the Switch 2 launches this summer. It already seems to be running well enough based on its brief time in today’s new sizzle reel, so fans quickly dropped onto social media to share their excitement.

You’ll want to make sure you download that spruced-up Switch 2 version of Fortnite come launch, as Nintendo has already warned that the original Switch version of the battle royale experience may have a few issues when running on the new hardware. It was included in a recently published list of known Switch titles to suffer from drawbacks when running on Switch 2. Though it’s unclear what those issues may be, it sounds like you’ll be fine so long as you’re playing on the Switch 2 version of Fortnite.
We’ll know more about how Fortnite looks, feels, and runs on the new Switch as its launch on June 5, 2025, draws closer. In the meantime, you can check out everything else announced during today’s Nintendo Switch 2 Direct right here.

]]>Nintendo has confirmed which OG Nintendo Switch games will have issues running on the new Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches on June 5, 2025.
In lists published to the official Nintendo website, the company has revealed which games have "start up issues" on Nintendo Switch 2, and which games can start up but have "some in-game compatibility issues."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, there's very little detail at this stage about each individual game's issue — most games simply say the problem is "being investigated" — but while it's to be expected that some games may struggle to make use of Switch 2's new hardware features, the list does include some surprising titles, including Rocket League, Pizza Tower, Warframe, Fall Guys, and NBA 2K25.
Interestingly, Fortnite is also included on the list, but Nintendo also revealed a bespoke Nintendo Switch 2 version is on the way.
You can catch up on everything announced at the Nintendo Direct today right here.

]]>A video purportedly taken from the next iteration of The Sims has popped up online, and fans have expressed their concern about what it may mean for the much-loved series.
Project Rene - the codename sometimes used interchangeably with The Sims 5, although EA maintains Project Rene is, in fact, a spin-off project - has been bubbling around for a few years now, but early access footage from a game entitled "City Life Game With Friends" has many players thinking that this could well be the next Sims game.
The video itself is a full 20 minutes long and shows the player clicking through text prompts to select their outfit, hair, watch, activities, and so on. He then spawns into a sunlit Plaza de Poupon where he buys some food and mingles with the locals. He later goes to work in the outdoor café.
Characters are clearly called Sims throughout the playtest, talk in Simlish, and are adorned with The Sims' tell-tale Plumbob.
"I am terribly disappointed with Project Rene. Yes, I know, according to EA, 'this is not the final game.' Is this a joke or what?" said one unhappy player on The Sims' subreddit on a post entitled "I think Project Rene is a redflag (I hope not)" that has been upvoted hundreds of times.
"EA clearly wants to kill off normal Sims games and push people toward the mobile-style experience. So in their mind, a reboot literally means this — at least that’s what I THINK."
"This is not going to be for me, I can tell already," said another. "It just seems so basic and I don't want to play The Sims on my phone."
"The funny thing is, making a PC/mobile cross-compatible Sims game isn't a bad idea," posited a fan. "EA just believes that mobile games HAVE to be ugly for some reason. They're chasing all of the design trends of the past decade, but it means that this thing already looks dated and it's not even out yet."
"The way The Sims was a literally [sic] satire about capitalist suburban consumption-as-happiness.... And this is where the Sims ended up. Endless consumption-as-happiness," suggested another.
Project Rene — the codenamed game initially thought to be The Sims 5 until EA distanced itself from those rumors — was first teased in 2022 during a Behind the Sims Summit. It's a free-to-play Sims game that features multiplayer inspired by Animal Crossing and Among Us. It hasn't yet been formally revealed or received a release date, but EA has been holding small, invite-only playtests for the game since its announcement, with the game's latest playtest presumably spawning these recent leaks.
The name Rene was chosen because it references words like "renewal, renaissance, and rebirth" that "represent the developer's renewed commitment for the Sims' bright future."
Last October, however, images of Project Rene leaked from a closed online test, prompting complaints about the art style, limited features, and the use of microtransactions. It was the addition of a café that drew the most skepticism, primarily due to the smiliaries to 2018's The Sims Mobile. It was then that EA said Project Rene was not The Sims 5 but would, in fact, be a different "cosy, social game" released under The Sims franchise.
Don't forget that The Burglar, a familiar sight for those of us who've spent time with any of the older Sims games snuck back into our lives as part of the latest update for The Sims 4.

]]>While just about every phone you can get your hands on nowadays will be able to play some games, several key features distinguish a fine gaming phone from a great one. Powerful processing is one piece of the puzzle. Being able to sustain high performance levels is also a must – you don’t want to deal with a phone that can only run smooth for a few minutes before it slows down and scorches your hands. Extra memory and storage are also clutch for gaming phones, providing a means for multitasking even while you have a game running and giving you plenty of space for games. Some gaming phones, like the RedMagic 10 Pro, even offer extra upgrades for gaming, like additional shoulder buttons and enhanced touch sampling rates.
Of course, the display is also a big piece of the puzzle. If you can’t see your games, you’re going to have a hard time playing them. A bigger, brighter display helps, as does a boost refresh rate for smooth motion. An added benefit of a bigger phone is that your thumbs won’t cover as much of the display when you’re using touch controls. With all these details in mind, here’s a look at the best smartphones that also excel when it comes to gaming on the go.
Check out our guide to the best phone controllers for accessory options.

Gaming demands a lot from a phone, and over all others, the RedMagic 10 Pro has what it takes, as I found when I reviewed it. The beating heart of the RedMagic 10 Pro is an actively cooled Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. I’d already seen this chip do wonders performance-wise in phones like the Asus ROG Phone 9 and OnePlus 13, but the RedMagic 10 Pro turns it up a notch with a cooling fan that lets the chip run all the more effectively for the kind of long-haul sessions that gaming requires. Any time the RedMagic 10 Pro wasn’t at the head of the pack in benchmarks, it was still very near the front, and it absolutely led the way where sustain was concerned. All that performance is only further backed by an astoundingly large 7,050mAh battery.
Naturally, the RedMagic 10 Pro has a few extras specifically for gamers. It includes two shoulder buttons, providing a way to get your index fingers in on the action. You can simply map these shoulder buttons to on-screen controls, good for pretty much any game. The display also has a fast touch-sampling rate, so it’ll detect inputs quickly. Depending on the game, you can also tap into supersampling and frame interpolation to sharpen visuals and smooth out the action.
RedMagic packs all of this capability into a good-looking phone, too. It’s not gaudy, but it still has style. There are a handful of looks, including clear backs, that give a peek at the layout of components. The display is also a winner. It has tiny bezels and stretches 6.85-inches across – and we’re talking a proper 6.85 inches, as the display is rectangular without large areas being cropped by corner curves. RedMagic even effectively hides the selfie camera beneath the display so that it doesn’t interrupt your view of games. The display is a brilliant AMOLED panel offering a 144Hz refresh rate, high peak brightness, and ample sharpness.
Truly, this phone is wonderfully geared up for gaming, and even with a commanding performance lead, it doesn’t cost as much as its competitors. The RedMagic 10 Pro starts at 649,ドル which is almost absurd considering the price of competitors like the Asus ROG Phone 9 at 999ドル.
If you’ve seen some of the ostentatious designs that come with "gamer" gear, you can be forgiven for wanting to steer clear of the typical gaming phones. Fortunately, you still have an excellent option available to you with the OnePlus 13. You’ll find plenty to love when it comes time to game, but for the rest of the time, you’ll get a much more tame-looking phone.
Inside the OnePlus 13 is a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. This pairs a blazing fast CPU and potent GPU that make for exceptional everyday performance and potent gaming speeds. In benchmarks, the OnePlus 13 readily rivaled the iPhone 16 Pro Max in CPU speeds and outstripped it in 3DMark’s graphics tests. The phone could even offer a decent amount of sustain. And when put to the test with Wuthering Waves at max settings, it didn’t struggle to keep up with the action. The phone’s 6,000mAh battery also helps out for those long gaming sessions.
OnePlus packs that speed into an elegant chassis. There are three designs, and each is more than a simple color swap, giving you a little more selection than you typically get from new phones. The design also has impressive water protections against submersion and hot water jets. The display on the OnePlus 13 is also excellent, providing a large, vibrant, and searingly bright platform for everyday use, movies, and gaming. And unlike most gaming phones, the OnePlus 13 doesn’t force you to sacrifice camera quality. You’ll find brilliant shooters on the back and front of the phone that capture great photos and video.
The OnePlus 13 comes in at 899ドル for a configuration with 256GB of storage and 12GB of memory, but if you want plenty of room for games, you can bump up to 512GB of storage and get 16GB of memory for 999ドル.
I reviewed the iPhone 16 Pro Max and can safely say that it will get the job done when it comes time for gaming. The A18 Pro chip inside has an extra graphics core over the A18 chip inside the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, and that gives it a considerable boost in performance for graphics applications (i.e., games!). Then there’s the fact that the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a huge, 6.9-inch display that provides a much bigger surface for enjoying your games and using controls than the smaller iPhone 16 Pro.
You’re not only getting great gaming performance from the iPhone 16 Pro Max, though. It also has an excellent design, with a titanium frame and glass construction. It’s great to look at whether it’s on or off. The camera system is powerful, offering stunning photos from the main sensor and zoom capabilities to get closer to subjects. Plus, if you want to take video, the processing on the iPhone 16 Pro Max goes high resolution, recording in Dolby Vision, and capturing serious slow-mo.
Apple has also made inroads into a more serious tier of gaming. For instance, Ubisoft released Assassin’s Creed Mirage onto iOS and a number of Resident Evil games have come the platform as well. Access to more and better games goes a long way to making a device great for gaming.
While Apple did launch the new iPhone 16e in 2025 with budget-minded consumers in consideration, it didn’t provide as affordable a new model as it had with earlier iPhone SE devices. The 599ドル iPhone 16e has some advantages though. This new model runs on the A18 chip that powers the iPhone 16, and that’s a serious piece of hardware. Unfortunately, the iPhone 16e gets a trimmed-down GPU with 4 cores instead of 5. Fortunately, the A18 has performance to spare, so I don’t see that holding the iPhone 16e back from being a solid gaming phone for even demanding titles. Even though I haven’t had a chance to test the iPhone 16e yet, I think it’s safe to say it’ll still rip through everyday operation and games alike, and my colleague over at PCMag saw excellent performance from the phone in his review.
While it's a shame the iPhone 16e couldn’t get a 429ドル price tag like the prior iPhone SE, it doesn’t make the same sacrifices that phone did. The iPhone 16e gets a more modern design in line with what Apple’s been pushing since as early as the iPhone 12. The best part of this upgrade for gamers is the much greater screen size. The iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch display without the beefy bezels of the iPhone SE. That’s more real estate to see games and use your thumbs for controls. Plus, the display is an OLED panel, which provides better image quality and contrast. The iPhone 16e also starts with more base storage at 128GB, which is huge compared to the 64GB Apple provided in the prior iPhone SE.
All of that sets up the iPhone 16e nicely for gamers. But I’ll caveat that it may not be the perfect choice for folks who just want a value-focused iPhone. It may be the cheapest Apple offers at the moment, but it does sacrifice quite a bit. For instance, you won’t get access to mmWave or UWB 5G networking, which tends to offer the fastest speeds. That lack of mmWave also means precise device tracking for items like AirTags won’t work. The iPhone 16e also lacks MagSafe support, so you’ll have to either go without it or rely on a case to enable compatibility with MagSafe accessories. The camera system is also rather limited with just one sensor. I’d recommend the iPhone 14 for most people, but the updated chip in the iPhone 16e will make more sense for gamers who can forgo the extra mentioned here.

We already liked the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 for gaming, but the Galaxy Z Fold 6 improves on a great thing. One of the best upgrades is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip inside, which takes the performance up a notch. In our testing, it bumped speeds up by as much as 22%. When it comes time to grind monsters in Zenless Zone Zero or Wurthering Waves, that extra performance makes it that much easier to keep up with the action and see all the detail creators put into the games.
The Z Fold 6 keeps a similar internal screen, stretching 7.6 inches across and offering a 2160x1856 resolution. With the AMOLED panel, you’ll get to enjoy your games in vivid color and striking contrast. If you prefer an ultra-wide aspect ratio, you can also game on the exterior screen, which sits at 6.2". Either way, you get to enjoy a smooth, responsive gaming experience.
And when you’re not gaming, you’ll have a serious piece of tech on your hands. Open, the Z Fold 6 is a small tablet with potential for multi-tasking and more. Closed, the Z Fold 6 blends in as a regular smartphone. It also gets a powerful camera system with all the knack Samsung offers for the technology. And though the Z Fold 6 is a considerable investment, it’s backed by long-term software support from Samsung.
The OnePlus 12 is a compelling value, offering top-tier qualities at the price of most base-tier flagships (think S24 Ultra at the price of an S24). But OnePlus wanted to make an even more budget-friendly option with the OnePlus 12R. This model offers the look and feel of the OnePlus 12, but it comes in at just 499ドル. The star of the show is the 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, which boasts a 1264x2780 and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s a stunner and a great platform for gaming. Put this next to the iPhone SE, and it’s no contest which has the better display.
Internally, the OnePlus 12R isn’t swinging for the fences. It packs 2023’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, but for most gaming, it still offers plenty of horsepower. With a 5,500mAh battery inside, the OnePlus 12R is also ready to stretch your gaming sessions out.
The OnePlus 12R did have to make some sacrifices, and its camera system is one area where it trimmed things. It doesn't have a setup that matches the OnePlus 12, but the camera system has little bearing on the phone’s ability to run games. So if you’re out here shopping for a phone that’s suited to gaming, the iPhone 12R is a great, value-focused option.
Choosing the right gaming phone is a little different than finding the best smartphone. With regular phones, you might be more interested in battery life, the cameras, and other specs, but the best gaming phones are all about their screens and processors with everything else being less important. You also rarely need to worry about the battery on a gaming phone, as most pack in some of the biggest smartphone batteries you’ll find.
With that in mind, we’ll start with the processors. Generally, you’re going to get a better gaming experience out of the latest and greatest processor that’s on the market when you’re shopping. At the moment, Android phones will find that in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which packs in a load of powerful processing cores and has strong graphics on board. If you’re on a budget, Qualcomm’s highest-tier chipsets tend to offer so much power you might not even take full advantage of it, so you shouldn’t feel too shy about seeking out a phone with an earlier chipset like the Snapdragon 888 or 8 Gen 1/2.
For iPhones, Apple makes its own chipsets, and they are extremely powerful. Again, you'll want to stick with the latest iteration for the absolute best performance, and that’ll always be found in the newest iPhone. At present, that's the A18 Pro in the iPhone 16 Pro models. This is another case where there’s still plenty of power in previous-generation chipsets, which is part of what makes Apple’s iPhone SE (2022) so compelling with its inclusion of the A15 Bionic chipset at 429ドル.
In terms of displays, you should pick out anything that’s a step up from your average phone screen. Often, smartphones made for gaming will feature a display with a refresh rate greater than 60Hz; 90Hz is a good start for extra fluidity, but we’re seeing the top gaming phones start to go to 120Hz and beyond. Some displays are even offering variable refresh rates that can let you take advantage of power savings while you’re not gaming. Faster touch sampling rates on displays are also starting to take off, so it may be a spec to keep in mind when comparison shopping. With many gaming phones adding in shoulder buttons, it may not just be the screen you should look at when thinking about the gaming interface.
That's everything you need to know about gaming phones for now. We'll be updating this list periodically, especially as even more brands are entering the field with phones that are especially well suited to gaming.
Deciding on a portable gaming device truly depends on your lifestyle, the type of games you want to play, and how you want to play them.
A gaming phone is ultra-portable and easily pocketed. However, it’s still a highly capable machine that does more than game, offering all your typical smartphone features, including quality cameras, navigation, and communication. Many gaming phones even have cooling solutions to prevent thermal throttling and some handy triggers. If you’re not a fan of touch controls, you can always grab a phone controller.
Gaming handhelds, like the Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch, are bulkier but still easy to toss in a bag and take on the go. Unlike gaming phones, they are pretty much used solely for gaming, so you get responsive joysticks, triggers, and buttons with these options.
As for actual games, more and more options are coming to Android and iOS, albeit most are toned down compared to their PC counterparts. Cloud gaming with Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass also continues to improve, making gaming on your phone easier than ever.
However, the Steam Deck is insanely powerful and acts like a handheld PC, letting you take your Steam library anywhere. Asus has also thrown its hat in the ring with the ROG Ally, offering a similar experience to the Steam Deck. And of course, there are many games exclusive to the Switch.
Battery life is another consideration, and the Steam Deck has a notoriously bad battery life. Many smartphones have no problem lasting all day, though extensive gaming cuts that drastically. A portable charger is a good investment if you plan to game on the go.
Cost also comes into play as gaming phones are expensive, with some of the best options costing between 700ドル to well over 1,000ドル. Gaming handhelds are much more affordable. You can grab a Steam Deck for 400,ドル and a Nintendo Switch is even less.
It’s all about personal preference. Do you want something that does it all but games in a slightly toned-down manner? Grab a gaming phone. Do you want a device dedicated to gaming that offers platform-exclusive games? Get a gaming handheld.

]]>When you're setting out to buy an iPhone, you've probably noticed that there's like a gazillion of them out there. Apple released the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro models in 2024 and even more recently released the 16e, making the list of options even longer. This doesn't make it any easier to pick out a new phone for yourself unless you just want the latest and greatest. Even if that is you, it's still worth considering all of your options.
No matter which iPhone you choose, each supports iOS 18 that was announced at WWDC 2024, which brings a ton of AI features to every iPhone on this list, along with an all-new Photos app that's way better organized. Though if you want to tap into Apple Intelligence, you'll be looking at any iPhone 15 and above.
You can also check out our guide to the best iPhone accessories to help you find the right peripherals – especially screen protectors for your new phone. We got a chance to review the Apple AirPods 4 with ANC, and they rival the AirPods 2 in several categories, so these earbuds may be worth investing in.

The iPhone 16 Pro gets major props for filling in the gap between the base iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Its more compact form factor will be more manageable for most users in one-handed use than the enormous Pro Max, but it doesn’t miss out any features or camera sensors – unlike previous iterations that had different cameras on the smaller Pro model. Of course, if you want the larger screen, you can simply upgrade to the iPhone 16 Pro Max and count on getting an otherwise similar experience.
The iPhone 16 Pro gets all the latest from Apple, including the A18 Pro chip that’s exceedingly powerful for everyday operation and gaming. In the iPhone 16 Pro Max, the chip had the single fastest Geekbench 6 single-core score I’ve ever measured in a phone (and in a laptop for that matter). This also pairs with a GPU that rips. Playing the latest games, the chip is readily able to pump out high frame rates at max settings.
Apple’s build is great and feels luxurious, though it doesn't come in the most vibrant colors. The screen is brilliant, offering both the combination of high brightness and contrast with the more fluid motion of a higher refresh rate. While Apple hypes up the durability of the new phones Ceramic Shield glass, I found it’s still able to get scraped up easily, so it’s worth some protection.
The cameras on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are strong. The main sensor is downright excellent, exhibiting its strength in low-light scenarios where smartphone cameras typically struggle. The ultra-wide successfully squeezes more into the shot, though struggled a bit with softness and noise in my testing, seemingly as a result with a focusing issue (which you could avoid with manual focus). There’s also a helpful 5x telephoto sensor that makes all the difference when you’re trying to capture portraits with natural bokeh or need to get closer to a subject you can’t physically get closer to. The new Camera Control also provides a way to navigate settings and shoot photos with a more shutter-button-like control, though I think Apple has some more work to do perfecting it in future updates and hardware iterations.
The iPhone 16 is a properly brilliant mid-range option in the iPhone lineup. The introduction of Apple Intelligence required more from the internals, which meant Apple couldn’t leave the base iPhone in the past on an outdated SoC like it has in previous years. As a result, the iPhone 16 ends up with the A18 chip, which puts up serious performance much like the A18 Pro chip in the phone’s Pro siblings. The A18 lagged behind the A18 Pro by a very small margin, but otherwise it readily blasted past the Geekbench 6 CPU performance I’d seen from every phone running a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in Android devices. Single-core even remains enough to outdo what I’ve seen from the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite.
With all that performance, the iPhone 16 easily holds up in everyday use and can play demanding games like Wuthering Waves with ease. Even after long play sessions, the phone remains comfortable to hold.
This model has more colorful options for the hardware, should you like that, though you can also opt for a clean black or white design. The iPhone 16 also gets Ceramic Shield as protection, though I still recommend some extra protection for the phone. The size of the iPhone 16 is great in the pocket and in the hand, with its smaller width making it much more wieldy than the wide Pro Max models.
While you’ll miss out on the extra smoothness of the 120Hz refresh rate on the Pro models, the iPhone 16 still gets a great display. It’s plenty sharp for a 6.1-inch screen, and it offers a gorgeous OLED panel. That pairs with punchy speakers that make watching shows and movies on the phone all the more enjoyable.
The main camera on the iPhone 16 snaps lovely photos, capturing vibrant color and pulling in enough light to make do even in dim environments. The ultra-wide and selfie cameras aren’t bad, but they do struggle with some softness, seemingly a focus issue much like I encountered on the Pro. This is something Apple will hopefully remedy in an update.
If you’re looking for an iPhone on a budget, Apple isn’t making your selection process much easier. With the introduction of the iPhone 16e, Apple's offerings stepped even further away from affordable than before. The prior iPhone SE may not have been a very good phone, but it at least had a more palatable starting price at 429ドル. The new iPhone 16e enters as Apple’s lowest-priced iPhone currently available, but it starts at 599ドル. While it becomes the de facto budget iPhone, this recommendation comes with some caveats.
The iPhone 16e will give you a modern phone running on a potent chip in the A18 – the same chip you’ll find in the iPhone 16, albeit with one fewer GPU core. This means you’ll get a fast enough phone and access to Apple Intelligence features. The iPhone 16e thankfully updated away from the prior iPhone SE’s design, which was already incredibly dated when it launched in 2022. You’ll get a larger and sharper 6.1-inch OLED display. That updated design also brings with it an aluminum frame and tough Ceramic Shield glass on both sides. Apple has also raised the base storage to a more agreeable 128GB.
However, Apple took a lot away. Since the introduction of the iPhone 12, all of Apple’s non-SE models have had a few shared features. They all offered MagSafe for magnetically connected accessories and wireless charging. They all supported mmWave 5G. They all had UWB support, which allowed for precise location tracking on devices like the Apple AirTag and some other accessories. And they all included at least two cameras on the rear. The iPhone 16e omits all of these. That strips it of a lot of functionality and limits its camera capabilities. That may not be enough to make it a bad phone, but it’s all worth weighing.
Now, I won’t argue that you should just shell out for the 799ドル iPhone 16 instead. If you just need a simple phone and want it to be a new iPhone, you can go ahead with the iPhone 16e. But if you’re not loving the many things it omits and aren’t sold on Apple Intellgence’s AI features, it’s worth considering that there’s a world of refurbished and renewed devices out there offering serious discounts. Amazon has refurbished iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 units in excellent conditions for under 500,ドル for instance. For my money, I’d take the refurbished iPhone 14 Pro deal over the iPhone 16e.
The iPhone is beloved for its easy-to-use software, solid cameras, and excellent performance. But if you’re not committed to the operating system or don’t want to pay the premiums to get some of the features locked away in the top tier of Apple’s phones, then the OnePlus 13 provides an exciting alternative. The OnePlus 13 comes in at 899,ドル but rather than competing with the iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Plus at this price, it’s more of a rival to the 1199ドル iPhone 16 Pro Max. Where Apple’s top-line phone brings a bigger display, smoother refresh rate, more cameras, and upgraded processing to the table, the OnePlus 13 also delivers similarly.
It boasts a triple-camera setup on the back complete with a 50MP telephoto sensor that helps punch in on far-off subjects, and that’s backed up by a 50MP main sensor and 50MP ultra-wide sensor. Combined, these shoot great photos and video, and the selfie camera on the front is a knockout.
The display is iPhone-worthy. It stretches 6.82-inches across corner to corner and has a 3168x1440 resolution, just a hair shy of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals, plus it can drop all the way down to 1Hz to save power when displaying static content. On top of that, it’s a brilliant OLED panel with ultra-bright peaks and inky blacks.
Performance had long been the area that even the best Android phones couldn’t quite touch Apple, but the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 started to shake that up in Android flagships in 2024, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the OnePlus 13 only moves the needle further. The OnePlus 13 nearly caught the iPhone 16 Pro Max in single-core performance, beat it in multi-core performance, and swept up in 3DMarks’ graphics tests. It’s a champ when gaming, too. And with a 6,000mAh battery, it’s ready for heavy use all day. Never mind that when the battery gets low, you can juice back up with 80W wired charging or 50W wireless charging.
Did I mention that the phone is also elegant? It gets a stylish design with either a silver and white colorway, a silver frame and vegan leather backing in a bold blue, or a blacked-out color scheme with the back glass etched to show a wood grain pattern. The phone also includes an alert slider akin to the old iPhones’ Ring/Silent switch. And while the iPhone 16 lineup has respectable water ingress protection, the OnePlus 13 steps it up with IP68 protection against submersion and IP69 protection that keeps the internals safe even against hot, high-pressure water jets.
The OnePlus 13 has so much going for it, and if you’re not dead set on an iPhone, it’s definitely worth considering.
We saw a few new iPhone additions for 2024 by way of the iPhone 16s, and they offer some great improvements and serious performance. Apple also lowered the prices of earlier models in a meaningful way. That said, Apple recently introduced the cheaper iPhone 16e, meant to replace the iPhone SE budget model. Additionally, leaked images and information about upcoming iPhones have cropped up on the internet, which seem to be the iPhone 17 lineup that includes an iPhone Air.
While there are a number of different models, the user experience is essentially the same. That’s one of the Apple iPhone’s biggest draws and why it’s the most popular smartphone in the world. However, the differences between models can make it tougher to find the best one for you. Here’s what to look out for in an Apple iPhone in 2025.
Phone Size
When it comes to the iPhone, size matters. If you want to be able to use it with just one hand, finding the best size is key. For bigger hands, the Apple iPhone 16 Plus or the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max is the perfect fit, thanks to their larger displays and wider builds. But if you’re on the smaller side, then the Apple iPhone 16 or iPhone 14.
Storage Capacity
Additionally, storage size is also something to think about. If you want to take a lot of high resolution photos, then the Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max with 1TB of storage is the best option. Other models listed here come with a base of 128GB, which should do if you don’t want to use a lot of apps and just use it very casually.
Price
If price is a consideration, the Apple iPhone ranges from the new cheapest iPhone, the iPhone 16e, at 599ドル to the totally maxed out iPhone 16 Pro Max (1TB) at 1,599ドル. Best of all, even if you go with the most inexpensive model, Apple iOS operating system will be included – which will receive updates for the next five-to-six years after purchase. So whatever the budget, each model gets about the same software experience and support.
Overall, the most important thing to look for when buying an iPhone is how you’ll use it. For most people, the Apple iPhone 16 Pro is the best pick because it's the most well-rounded with a fast processor, fantastic camera system, timeless colors, and a wide range of storage options at a good price.
Although iPhones dominate a large sector of the smartphone market these days, there are quite a few Android phones that match up well to the latest Apple devices. The best iPhone alternatives include the OnePlus 13 and Google Pixel 9 Pro which are at the top of the Android market. There are other brands like Asus and RedMagic that offer some decent phones as well that have many of the features and iOS user would expect.

]]>Amazon’s Big Spring Sale will soon reach its conclusion today, March 31, so you've got until the end of the day to secure a great deal. While it might not have the same hype as Black Friday or Prime Day, the discounts speak for themselves, and there's so many great offers to choose from still— including the lowest prices of the year on tech like Apple AirPods, Kindles, Fire TV Sticks, and must-have items like 50 series GPUs, and Pokémon TCG cards back in stock for a limited time.
Amazon’s dedicated Spring Sale hub has plenty of deals, but we’ve done the heavy lifting for you on the final day of the sale, highlighting only the best discounts actually worth your time. Every deal we feature is either at its lowest-ever price, matches its best price of the year so far, or is so hotly sought after we can't help but mention it. We’re keeping this list fresh with real-time updates, so you won’t miss out on the biggest savings before the sale ends.
There are already some incredible doorbuster deals in the Amazon Spring Sale 2025. One of the best is the INIU 10K power bank for just 9ドル with code S7LY7824 and clipping the 50% coupon – a record low price. It’s an absolute must-buy, especially for iPhone users, but even beyond that, it’s just an outstanding power bank at an unbeatable price. If you grab only one thing from this sale, make it this. You can find more coupons worth clipping to score additional savings on books, robot vacuums and more.
Other tech deals include the standard slate of Apple products, like AirPods and the newest Apple Watch, as well as Amazon devices like Fire TV.
It'd be silly not to mention the latest round of Pokémon TCG stock at Amazon during the sale, with elusive Elite Trainer Boxes like Twilight Masquerade available again, alongside a slew of other hot booster sets like Surging Sparks.
One of our favorite deals during the Spring Sale is The Lord of the Rings Illustrated Editions, all at all time low discounts, and in the buy two get one free deal. It's one of the best offers we've seen all year. Sunrise on the Reaping, the new Hunger Games novel, should also be on your radar.
Other books in the sale include chart-topper Onyx Storm, and its fellow Empyrean series books Iron Flame and Fourth Wing, alongside the Harry Potter Illustrated Books.
For just individual book deals, we also love the Skyrim Library, a three-volume collection of texts, now down to just 49ドル.99 when clipping the coupon at Amazon. A gloriously good deal for a magnificent set of books. We've also seen plenty of comics, like Ultimate Spider-Man, and even select vinyl (also within the 3 for 2 promotion) included in the deals.
LEGO sets are getting more expensive, but they always seem to get solid discounts during these types of sales. Some of the best LEGO deals from the current sale include discounts on the LEGO Wednesday collaboration as well as some very cozy LEGO Animal Crossing sets. Some of our favorite board games for both families and adults are included in the sale. We've also seen tons of deals on 90's comebacks including action figures, plushies, Nerf guns and even Bop It! toys (that apparently still exist).
Amazon has also discounted tons of individual movies and TV shows, including old-school Warner Bros. cartoons and films directed by David Lynch.
It's always the right time to get accessories you actually need, but it's even better to get them on sale. That said, Amazon has discounts on various PS Portal accessory deals. My other favorites that are worth considering include Audible Premium Plus for 0ドル.99, the Apple AirPods Pro 2 for 169ドル.99, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth for 32ドル.99, and 65" LG C4 4K OLED Smart TV for 1,397ドル.
The Amazon Spring Sale (March 25-31) couldn’t come at a better time. With no major shopping holidays between now and Memorial Day, this is one of the best opportunities to score great deals before summer. While Prime Day and Black Friday might bring even steeper discounts, those are months away – if you’re looking to save right now, this sale is your best bet.
That said, strategic shopping always wins. If you’re eyeing a big-ticket item like a TV or Kindle but don’t need it immediately, waiting for a larger sale could be worth it. Want to make sure you’re getting the best possible price? Tools like CamelCamelCamel let you track pricing history, helping you spot real deals from the ones that just look good. It’s a trick we swear by to make sure every recommendation is truly worth your money.
If you're looking for more Spring Sale savings, there is currently a Walmart Super Savings Week sale happening now that has many deals that Amazon doesn't, so it could be worth checking out. There's also the Secretlab Spring Sale with plenty of top discounts on gaming chairs. And finally, there are plenty of video game deals from Woot which also includes FF7 Rebirth, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Super Mario RPG and more.

]]>Looking for SpongeBob Tower Defense codes? This is where we'll serve them up! You won't find any Krabby Patties here, but you will find working codes you can redeem for rewards. These include chests, Magic Conches for summoning exclusive units, gems, and more.
Below are all the active codes we've found for SpongeBob TD as of this month:
Unfortunately, you've missed the chance to use the codes below, as they've now expired:
There are two main reasons why your code might not be working when you submit it. Some codes are for Roblox are case-sensitive, so you'll want to make sure you're copying it directly from this article and pasting it in. We test each and every one of the codes before adding them here, to make sure they're working. Just be sure when you are copying them from here, that you're not accidentally including any extra spaces. If one has snuck in there, just remove them and try the code again.
If you're taking them directly from the article, and they're still not working, the other possibility is they're expired. When a code is expired, it will say this as soon as you hit redeem. But if the code has been entered incorrectly, it will say "invalid" instead.
We check daily for new Roblox codes, so be sure to come back here regularly to see if new SpongeBob TD codes have dropped. Alternatively, you can drop by the Krabby Krew Discord server and scan for codes yourself.
Roblox has its fair share of Tower Defense games, and even SpongeBob is included in the action. Whether you choose to initially recruit SpongeBob, Patrick, or Squidward, you'll need to protect Bikini Bottom at all costs.
Just like other TD games, the aim is to position units carefully along a set route, where they'll automatically attack and wipe out a constant stream of enemies. With careful strategy, you'll complete a series of waves for each location, and prevent enemies from ever reaching your base. Unlock new units, pick your favorites to take into battle, and unleash them when the time is right.

]]>Today, Jagex has announced that it's bringing the world of RuneScape into a new genre: survival. The developer revealed RuneScape: Dragonwilds, a cooperative open world survival game coming to early access this spring.
Dragonwilds takes place in Ashenfall, a new continent within the RuneScape universe, where one to four players can work together to learn new skills, build camps, grow stronger, and survive against powerful enemies, including lots and lots of dragons. Ashenfall has two regions, with five unique biomes, and the potential for more to be added later post-launch. Though Ashenfall is not the same continent most of RuneScape proper takes place on, RuneScape fans will find a lot of familiarity in the world, including some locations that may resemble familiar places from RuneScape itself, like a wizard's tower, or a certain castle...
Monsters may also look familiar, but come with a twist. While you'll still see rats, dragons, trolls, cows, and other creatures you'll recall from RuneScape, Ashenfall's wild magic has warped these creatures into strange, nature-fied versions of themselves with new appearances and fusions with plants, thorns, and other wild bits.
Core to survival in Dragonwilds is development of skills, and yes, they include classic RuneScape activities like cooking and woodcutting. These skills allow you to interact with the world in various ways - when I saw a few clips of the game at the Game Developers' Conference earlier this month, I was shown clips of a player using wind runes to gain the ability to glide through the air across distances. Even more nostalgic was a woodcutting skill that allows players to line up a row of trees and throw a spectral axe to chop them all down at once. It's a move I was told was referred to as "ax-tral projection."
RuneScape: Dragonwilds is entering early access on PC sometime this spring, with hopes for a wider launch (including console) sometime in 2026. Jagex will host a deep-dive reveal of the game on Twitch on April 15 at 9:00 AM PT.

]]>There is renewed excitement about the much-discussed Final Fantasy 9 remake after Square Enix launched an official Final Fantasy 9 25th Anniversary website.
The website, which is in Japanese, notes the release date of Final Fantasy 9 (July 7, 2000) and points out the game celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
"We are preparing various projects, including merchandise and collaborations to commemorate the 25th anniversary, so please look forward to it!" the website continues.
That rather innocuous statement, as well as the existence of the anniversary website itself, was enough to spark speculation that Square Enix may finally reveal the Final Fantasy 9 remake fans so desperately want.
And the timing of the website’s launch is not lost on fans who point out Nintendo is set to hold a Switch 2-focused Direct this week, on April 2. Could Square Enix finally announce Final Fantasy 9 remake for Switch 2 at the Direct? Some fans are hoping so.
Of course, this may all be nothing. The website itself mentioned merchandise and collaborations, but "various projects" has certainly set tongues wagging.
Last year, Final Fantasy 14 producer Naoki 'Yoshi-P' Yoshida talked a bit about what a Final Fantasy 9 remake might look like, warning it may not all fit in one game.
"Of course, I do know there are requests for Final Fantasy 9 to be made, but when you think about Final Fantasy 9, it’s a game with huge volume," Yoshi-P said. "When you think about all of that volume, I wonder if it’s possible to remake that as a single title. It’s a difficult one. It is a tough question."
Yoshi-P seemed to suggest a potential Final Fantasy 9 remake could go the direction of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which is in the middle of a planned trilogy.
Earlier in 2024, Yoshi-P announced Final Fantasy 9-themed extras for the Collector’s Edition and Digital Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy 14 expansion Dawntrail, including Final Fantasy 9’s Ark summon as a Final Fantasy 14 mount and a wind-up Princess Garnet minion (Garnet, aka Dagger, is one of the main characters of Final Fantasy 9). If you pre-ordered Dawntrail, you got a wind-up Zidane minion. Zidane is the protagonist of Final Fantasy 9.
Speaking on-stage during PAX East alongside the announcement of these extras, Yoshi-P teased: "You may have noticed a lot of Final Fantasy 9 references here, but the reason is a secret." He then zipped his mouth shut.
Final Fantasy 9 remake rumors have swirled around Square Enix ever since the unannounced game emerged as part of a 2021 Nvidia leak of upcoming titles. The list, confirmed legit by Nvidia but potentially outdated, includes a number of Square Enix games the company has either announced or released since, such as the Chrono Cross remaster, Kingdom Hearts 4, and of course the Final Fantasy 7 remake for PC. However, Final Fantasy 9 remake and Final Fantasy Tactics, both of which are on the leaked list of games, have yet to materialize. Just a few months before the Nvidia leak, in June 2021, a Final Fantasy 9 animated series was reported to be in development, although we haven’t heard anything about it in the years since.

]]>Looking for Anime Card Clash codes so you can build your deck and battle bosses effortlessly? You're in the right place. We've searched high and low to find all the new and active codes for Anime Card Clash in April 2025, so you won't miss out on everything from Large Luck Potions to Boss Potions and Instant Rolls.
Here are the newest codes we've found for Anime Card Clash this month, as well as information on the rewards you'll get for redeeming them:
Unfortunately, these codes are now expired:
We usually find that when codes aren't working, it's for one of two reasons. Most Roblox experiences have codes that are case-sensitive, so if you're not putting the code in exactly as it's written, you'll find it won't work. To make it easier for you to avoid this issue, we'd recommend copying the code directly from this article. We test each and every one before we add them, so just be sure you don't copy an extra space before or after the code accidentally!
If your code still isn't working, it might be that it's expired. For reference, in Anime Card Clash, whenever you put in a code incorrectly, it says "Code not found!".
We check for Roblox codes daily, so when a new Anime Card Clash code drops, you can be sure you'll find it here! If you want to track down codes yourself, the Anime Card Clash Discord server is the place to hunt for them.
In Anime Card Clash the goal is to build the best deck to battle against bosses and other players. You'll start by rolling for cards to craft a unique deck, and we'd recommend taking some time to roll as many times as possible and creating your perfect pack before you jump over to story mode. When you're ready to tackle story mode, you'll engage in turn-based combat against a series of tough bosses. With each defeat, you'll unlock new worlds, so you can put your deck to the ultimate test.

]]>After some bonus goodies to kit out your monsters in Creatures of Sonaria? We've got you covered. Below, you'll find all of the active codes in Roblox's kaiju survival game, allowing you to redeem plushies and other rewards.
Currently, there are no active Creatures of Sonaria codes in April 2025. As soon as that changes, we’ll update this page, so check back soon for updates.
To redeem Creatures of Sonaria codes, launch the Roblox Experience and, once you’re in, follow the steps below:
If your Creatures of Sonaria code isn’t working, it’s likely due to one of two scenarios. The first is that the code was inputted incorrectly. Creatures of Sonaria codes can either be in lower case or upper case, so make sure you have the code inputted correctly before you hit redeem. You can even copy and paste the codes directly from this article over to Roblox if you want to make sure you’re inputting them correctly.
The other possibility is the code has expired or you’ve already used it. If you’ve already used it, you’ll get a message below the bar reminding you the inputted code has already been redeemed. If you’ve inputted your code and the message says it's expired, it means the code's no longer available to use.
If you’re looking to scout out some extra Creatures of Sonaria Codes, you should check out the game's official Discord server. The devs frequently post the latest news and updates in the server's announcements channel, including when they add redeemable codes.
You can also follow Sonar Studios on X, where they usually post when major codes go live.
Creatures of Sonaria is a survival game with a unique twist. Instead of playing a human enduring a hostile world, you start off as a weak monster that must scavenge for food and water while avoiding threats. As you start to acclimatize to your harsh habitat, you age up, becoming more powerful and capable of taking on tougher hazards, as you hunt other monsters, survive deadly weather events, and more.
Featuring a wide range of creatures you can control and collect, cooperative play with friends online, and a large open-world to explore, Creatures of Sonaria is a sprawling experience that will test whether you truly have what it takes to survive.

]]>Congratulations: You have decided to take off those training wheels, put down that deck of Uno cards, and dip your toes into the exciting hobby world of board games! Now, before you reach for that box of Twilight Imperium or put your investigator pants on to trot around the city of Arkham (the Cthulhu one, not the one with Batman), it’s important to work up that level of game complexity. There are a ton of great games that are far more welcoming to learn and play to help ease you into things, but a lack of complexity doesn’t mean a lack of fun.
The following games on this list were compiled to point new players towards experiences that, first, won’t break the bank; second, give you a good foundational understanding of some popular mechanics and game types; and finally, be a blast to play, whether that's with your friends, partner, or a random person at your local game shop.
With colorful plastic tiles and a simple premise – collect sets of similar tiles to score points – Azul is a great game for folks who want to dabble in the hobby of board games. The goal is to fill up a small grid, earning points by completing lines and connecting filled-in spots on your grid to each other. It's been said before, but it rings true for Azul: It's quick to learn, but it takes time to master and figure out strategies. This makes Azul a great addition to any existing board game player’s collection as well.
As an added bonus, there are a number of variants that change out the theme while retaining the core gameplay. For example, if you are more of a fan of chocolates and treats than colors and patterns, perhaps Azul: Master Chocolatier would be more up your alley.
In Faraway, you're exploring a mysterious land peopled by peculiar strangers, represented by the play of cards from your hand, illustrated by suitably exotic art. The cards have a potential points value and a set of icons that you must match on other cards you've played in order to win those points. Sounds easy enough, but there's a delightful brain bending catch in that your assess your cards backwards, so the last card you played has no other cards to match with, whereas the first can match them all. It's a simple trick but it transforms this tableau-builder into a most peculiar and engaging puzzle.
Ticket to Ride is one of those games that could find a place on any person's game shelf, whether they’re longtime players with an established game group or a family getting into the hobby. The premise is relatively simple: use matching colored train cards from your hand to turn them into train routes that connect the specific cities listed on your goal cards.
Ticket to Ride also has a wide range of versions that will take you around the world – from the United States to Europe, Paris to Amsterdam – you can find the version that interests you the most. For families with younger players, Ticket to Ride First Journey will be a good choice, and groups that get together frequently may want to check out Ticket to Ride Legacy.
For those new players seeking a cooperative experience rather than a competitive one, there are few games that offer it quite as well as the pandemic. Each player will be assigned one of six potential jobs, such as the Dispatcher, which can move other players around the map, or the Medic, which can remove extra diseases from their location; you and the other players will need to work together to cure and eradicate four deadly diseases that are quickly spreading around the globe.
Few games can offer such a tense and rewarding experience while still remaining easy to teach and not taking overly long to set up or play. With plenty of expansions as well (including one that makes the game one-player versus many), if you find yourself enjoying Pandemic, there are tons of options and expansions available to keep your games fresh.
The latest cooperative craze to hit the shelves after winning board gaming's biggest prize, the Spiel des Jahres, in 2024 is Sky Team. It's specifically for two, who take the roles of a pilot and copilot, landing an airliner at a series of increasingly tricky airports across the world. You each have a pool of dice and are jointly faced with a panel of instruments, each of which has particular requirements for dice results in order to make it work, often requiring a balance of numbers from each player. The catch is that your roll is secret and you must somehow muddle a way through without telling your partner what you've rolled, creating a dense and exciting web of hidden hints and uncertain communications.
Deception, suspicion, and deduction are all part of the small-box game of Coup. Coup asks the simple question: Do you know when your friends are lying to you? Can you spot their tells well enough that you can confidently call them out when they aren’t being truthful? And can you do it when your own "life" is on the line?
Coup is an easy game to set up, learn, and play quickly. At the start of a new game, each player is given two cards with occupations on them, with each one having unique abilities, including the Captain’s ability to steal money from another player, the Assassin that can kill a single card, or the Contessa that can block the previously mentioned assassinations. The goal of Coup is to be the last person with a role left. By utilizing your roles (either the actual roles you have or those you claim to have), the object is to deceive or trick your way to the top. This is a great game to bust out at parties and a good taste of the hidden-role genre of board games.
Perhaps the biggest departure from what most people consider a "board game," Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective pits you and your friends' wits and know-how against the legendary detective himself as you work to solve some of his most memorable cases
Take your own notes as you follow up on tips, interview people, and look through the telephone book and even newspapers to uncover clues and get to the bottom of the case. Once you have it solved, you compare your methodology against Holmes’ to determine whether or not you found the right culprit. Since Consulting Detective is more about solving a mystery and having everyone work together, it’s a great game for date nights or a chill night with some friends. It's also a great one for folks who like true-crime podcasts, whether you like board games or not.
Betrayal at House on the Hill is one of those games that frequently comes out during game nights around my table – especially if friends who don’t play games are around. It’s a game that can be explained in just a few minutes, picked up after a round or two around the table, and offers great moments where everyone will hold their breath. Discovering that the guy who found a crossbow, ceremonial dagger, and is walking around in armor turns out to be the traitor can really make you sweat, speaking from experience.
We here at IGN rank Betrayal at House on the Hill among one of the best horror board games around., There are a bunch of editions and reskins utilizing the same ruleset, so even if the horror aesthetic doesn’t appeal to you, there's almost certainly a variation to appeal to your tastes.
What do you get when you take one of the most well-known and important franchises and mix it with one of the most popular modern game types? You get Star Wars: The Deck Building Game, a great entry point in the deck-building genre to hook all those Sith and Jedi out there.
One player plays as the nefarious Empire, while the other straps on the boots of the Resistance. Players take turns trying to defeat three worlds using an army of recognizable ships, characters, and weapons from the series. Unlike some games, Star Wars: The Deck Building game comes in a small box and is easy to set up, meaning you'll save (or conquer!) the galaxy in no time.
Dice Throne is the perfect way to introduce new prospective board game players to the wonderful chaos of dice rolling wrapped up in a Yahtzee package. Dice Throne has players choose their fighters, each with a small deck of cards and a set of special attacks. The attacks are triggered based on the dice rolls, the aim of which is to reduce your opponent’s life to zero.
There is a decent amount of strategy you can learn and figure out, or you can quite simply roll the dice and see what happens. An additional element that makes Dice Throne a great beginner game is the fact that you can purchase smaller two-pack sets of heroes to try before investing in the large seasonal box sets. That being said, those big boxes are pretty tempting, with a Marvel season featuring heroes such as Thor and Miles Morales, as well as an upcoming X-Men set. If you'd rather go for OC, there are two sets of eight original characters designed specifically for Dice Throne. Since each character comes in their own tray, transporting and setting up Dice Throne is incredibly easy, too. In other words, Dice Throne is easily one of the best beginner dice-rolling games out there.
Theme is a surprisingly important factor when it comes to introducing people to board games: the kind of nerdy or aggressive topics favoured in the hobby can be off-putting to folk outside it. But you can’t go wrong with the wonderful Cascadia, a simple game of building a wilderness out of hexagonal tiles and populating it with enchanting wild creatures, building your very own corner of unspoiled American paradise. The rules essentially involve you selecting a terrain tile and animal pair each turn and adding it to your growing landscape, trying to meet scoring patterns that vary each game. There are easy scoring patterns to start with, more difficult ones to graduate onto and a solo mode with challenges to tick off so it’s fun for every occasion. No wonder it won board gaming’s biggest prize, the Spiel des Jahres, in 2022 or made it onto our list of the best family board games.
Who doesn’t love the thrill of a race? Unfortunately, a lot of race games are either tiresome roll and move for kids, or are simulations that edge the more complex edge of gaming. Heat hits the sweet spot between the two, with a simple yet cunning system based on shifting gears up and down. The higher your gear, the faster you can move, but each corner on each track is labelled with the highest gear you can attempt it at. Take it too fast, and you risk spinning off and loosing your turn. A hand of cards that works in tandem with your gears to move your car ensures plenty of excitement, while the need to anticipate your gear changes and slipstream your opponents ensures plenty of strategy.
Some games have a strangely Zen-like air of calm and tranquillity about them as you play, and they tend to make great introductory games. Parks has that mood, alongside straightforward rules, quick play time and absolutely delightful components based on fifty-nine national parks from the US. Players take turns traversing a modular trail, one for each season of the year. Each space offers opportunities to score by collecting forest or mountain terrain, or by photographing animals and you can move as far as you like, but there’s a catch: you can only go forward, and you can’t share a space. That makes deciding how far and how fast you want to go a decision of surprising strategic importance. Whatever you decide, make sure you enjoy the scenery along the way.
Just because a game may be good for beginners, it doesn’t mean that you're missing out on fun game experiences. There are plenty of great games out there for folks who are interested in adding some cardboard and dice to their friend hangouts or date night activities. Whether it's deck building in the Star Wars universe, dice rolling battle with Marvel's heaviest hitters, or just lying to your friends for fun, you don't need to be stuck with a new variation of Monopoly to entertain your beginning board game friends – thank the dice gods for that.

Looking to snag some free resources in Fisch? We've put together a list of all of currently active and working Fisch codes, so you can get your hands on a host of rewards and goodies in the Roblox fishing simulator without having to spend a penny.
Below, you'll find all of the currently active and working Fisch codes in April 2025 that you can reedeem for free rewards:
The following Fisch codes have expired and can no longer be redeemed as of April 2025:
To redeem Fisch codes, boot up the Roblox Experience and, once you’re in, follow the steps below:
If your Fisch code isn’t working, it’s likely due to one of two scenarios. The first is that the Fisch code was inputted incorrectly. Check the spelling and that the case is correct, then redeem again. You can even copy and paste the codes directly from this article over to Roblox if you want to make sure you’re inputting them correctly.
The other possibility is the code has expired or you’ve already used it. In this scenario, you should see an error message pop up below the code bar informing you that the code has already been used or is invalid.
The best way to get more Fisch codes is by joining the Fisch Discord server. However, it's worth noting the server can be difficult to join considering it's frequently full, with a whopping 500,000 members. If you do run into that issue, keep checking back every few days until you're provided access. Luckily, the team also posts Fisch codes over on X, so even if you can't join the server, it's worth checking the Fisch X account to see if you can find some there.
Fisch is an open-world fishing RPG in Roblox where players traverse a sprawling ocean on a quest to catch fish, meet other players, and unlock new gear. Along the way, they'll be able to collect a nearly endless number of fish variations, using their catching skills to level up and become a legendary fisherman.

Pokemon TCG Pocket's recent expansion, Shining Revelry, just dropped this week. And while fans are enjoying the new line-up of shiny Pokemon cards in all the colors of the rainbow, there's one that's causing some division: a shiny Mewtwo ex card that's only available to players who pay 23ドル in real money.
Here's what's going on: Mewtwo ex is a card that already exists in the game in several forms. It was added in the very first set, Genetic Apex, which has a "regular" version, an "immersive rare" version with Mewtwo bursting out of containment, and a "gold crown" version of Mewtwo against a gold background. All three versions have the exact same moves and power levels, so in a match, it doesn't matter which one you use. But they're all varying degrees of rare, so for those who want to "catch 'em all" so to speak, it's critical to track down all three.
The Mewtwo ex in question here is another version of that same card, with the same effects. The difference is a cosmetic one: this Mewtwo ex is a "shiny", so it's green instead of pinkish, and has a different background. However, it also takes up a separate slot in your card collection in the "Promo" set of cards, meaning collectors need it if they want to 100% complete their collection.
Here he is, in all his shiny glory:
Unfortunately, the card is only available through one method: by paying 22ドル.99 in real money for a shop bundle containing Poke Gold, a bunch of other Mewtwo-themed cosmetic items (like a coin, a playmat, etc), and the card itself. There's no other way to get it, not through packs or Wonder Pick or anything else.
Some players are not reacting well to the news.
Having a promo card behind a paywall in the shop instantly killed my interest in the game.
byu/Coroggar inPTCGP
Their frustration is understandable. Pokemon TCG Pocket has been out for several months now and has gone through four different expansions of varying sizes, as well as multiple events. While players who pay real money have up til now had certain advantages in terms of how fast they can grow their collections and other cosmetic rewards, this is the first time a card has been locked behind a gold bundle paywall. What's more, it's a bundle that's worth far more than the card by itself presumably would be, as it includes other items like currency.
That said, some fans are rolling their eyes a bit at the controversy. Several have pointed out that the card is purely cosmetic - it doesn't do anything different from the other Mewtwo exes you can obtain, and if you don't toggle on a certain option in your settings, you can't even see it's missing from your collection. Others are pointing out that in the past, certain other promo cards have been locked behind having a Premium membership, which is itself a monthly paid subscription (albeit 12ドル/mo, with other benefits).
"This is a collection game" is just an excuse people are using against having to buy cosmetics in a free game
byu/stephzh inPTCGP
Probably the biggest concern from players, though, is the slippery slope of it all. If Pokemon TCG Pocket is willing to gate a Mewtwo ex this way, will it gate other cards? What if the game eventually starts locking brand new cards with new effects behind paywalls, effectively requiring players to pay money if they want that specific effect in their decks? Even though there's no sign of that happening just yet, some are still concerned that, with time, it may.
IGN reached out to The Pokemon Company for comment on this change, the criticism, and the possibility of future cards being behind paywalls.
Rebekah Valentine is a senior reporter for IGN. You can find her posting on BlueSky @duckvalentine.bsky.social. Got a story tip? Send it to rvalentine@ign.com.
A previous version of this article has been amended to correctly identify the collection Mewtwo ex appears in.
