GHOP: Create presentation slide masters

Great task idea. We need to beef it up a little more though to help ensure that we are getting what we're looking for. Mention some guidelines like it must contain the Druplicon and the "Drupal" wordmark. We should also build into the task that there should be preliminary review of designs with the community. You might want to look at the Create a promotional booklet task for ideas on how to write this up, as this task/student was extremely successful.

Task title: Create presentation slide masters

Type: Marketing

Task description: Drupal currently doesn't have a default presentation style. This file could be used as a blueprint for presentations. The lay-out should be based on the drupal.org theme, as seen on some sample presentations (see Resources for more infomration). This includes the use of both the Druplicon logo and the Drupal wordmark. This task contains two steps:

1. Create five differt styles, one page for each style. These style can range from a big Druplicon as a watermark to a copy of the drupal.org style. Post these styles in the drupal issue for the community to rank.
2. When a top style has been chosen, create a Powerpoint (.ppt) and OpenOffice (.odp) presentation in said style, containing the following master slides:
   • a big title with centralized druplicon (front slide)
   • a big title with small top-left druplicon (alternative front slide)
   • a title with bullets list
   • a title with two bullets lists (next to eachother)
   • a title with text
   • a slide containing a large druplicon logo on the left with text on the right
   • a slide containing a large druplicon logo on the right with text on the left

Make sure to add a link and/or specify where exactly to post the styles when you create the actual issue.

Isn't one of the GHOP "admins" like webchick or yourself supposed to create the task, so they can include the type and issue node? Let's just take this issue to avoid confusion.

We can, but we're already doing around 15,000 other things related to the management of the GHOP program, so it'd be awesome if people could create the drupal.org issues and tasks themselves @ http://code.google.com/p/google-highly-open-participation-drupal/issues/... once they're approved. That way the primary contact is already assigned to the issue, and the only thing the GHOP admins have to do is set the status from "New" to "Open"

@wmostrey: I'm with webchick on this one. One other thing to note--we're trying to add the GHOP taxonomy term to all GHOP issues in our system, but I'm not sure you can do that when creating the issue unless you have administer nodes privs on d.o. If that's not the case, you can ping one of us and we'll add it for you.
