info Database description This database presents true haplotypes and LD structures of Japanese genome, determined using DNA samples obtained from complete hydatidiform moles.
info Features and manner of utilization of database The genome of complete hydatidiform mole is derived from a single sperm. Therefore, the haplotypes described in DHaploDB are true haplotypes. This is in contrast to the haplotypes of Asians described by the HapMap Project, which are haplotypes deduced from genotypes of diploid materials using computational method that yields haplotypes with error at a certain level.
