Instructions to download and run AngularCrud project

  1. Once downloaded extract the files into a folder.

  2. Place AngularCrud folder in a location where you can remember the path. I placed it in C:\Projects\

  3. Run CommandPrompt as an Administrator

  4. Navigate to AngularCrud project folder where you have the source code. I use the following command for that.
    cd c:\Projects\AngularCrud

  5. Execute the following npm install command to install all the required npm packages. Depending on your internet connection speed, this may take a few minutes.
    npm install

  6. Once all the npm packages are installed, execute the following command to open the project in Visual Studio Code Code .

  7. At this point you will have the project opened in Visual Studio Code.

  8. Open Integrated Terminal in Visual Studio Code by clicking on "View" menu and then "Integrated Terminal"

  9. Execute the following command to start JSON SERVER
    json-server --watch db.json

  10. Now in the command prompt window or in another Visual Studio Code integrated terminal execute the following command to run the project
    ng s -o

  2. when i run the command json-server --watch db.json in command prompt :I got below error

    json-server : The term 'json-server' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name,
    or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

  3. Hi,
    This is just FYI. I have faced this error and got resolved.
    I got error when I follow json server instructions.
    json-server --watch db.json

    After I followed this command : npm install -g json-server
    my issue is solved.

    When I tried to run the project ng s -o , I ran into below errors. I couldn't get output. Please help.

    I'm sorry. :) Please ignore the last message on config error.

    the config error - It is solved when I changed angular-cli.json file
    from _angular-cli to .angular_cli
