The Util-linux package contains miscellaneous utility programs. Among them are utilities for handling file systems, consoles, partitions, and messages.
Prepare Util-linux for compilation:
./configure ADJTIME_PATH=/var/lib/hwclock/adjtime \ --libdir=/lib64 \ --enable-write \ --disable-chfn-chsh \ --disable-login \ --disable-nologin \ --disable-su \ --disable-setpriv \ --disable-runuser \ --docdir=/usr/share/doc/util-linux-2.29.2
The meaning of the configure options:
--enable-write
This option allows the write program to be installed.
--disable-*
This option disables various programs
Compile the package:
make
Install the package:
make install
