北見工業大学が持つ高度なバイオ食品技術、自動化・ロボット化技術、ICT技術、エネルギー技術などを、オホーツク地域の特色ある第一次産業に展開し、 農・林・水産の分野を越えたユニークな工学的支援を推進します。例えば、各種センサーとAIによって、地域が培ってきた生産技術を次世代に継承します。 また、寒冷地域に適応した育苗施設や起伏に富み複雑に入り組んだ丘陵地用の作業機械、科学的データに裏付けされた機能性食品などの開発によって、 地域第一次産業の生産性と魅力を一層高め、オホーツク地域の持続可能な発展と若者の地域定着・還流に寄与します。
