I get the following error when I run the following command. I think that help may use something that don't work well with pipe. Could anybody take a look? ~/linux/bin/xplat/src/pymisc/pyhelp/main$ ( echo 'import os'; echo 'help(os)'; )| python |head Help on module os: NAME os - OS routines for Mac, NT, or Posix depending on what system we're on. Hello, this is not a forum to get help with Python, but to report bugs. In your case, the problem is simply that since help(os) prints more than 10 lines, head exits, and python gets EPIPE when writing to the pipe (which is normal when there's no reader). |
