I was unable to solve this question. http://forums.devshed.com/python-programming-11/setting-tkinter-checkbox-default-graphical-state-865148.html Summary: Trouble initiating button in "checked" state. If you answer to me, I'll post the answer at the devshed forum. If you answer at the forum I'll probably find it. I doubt this is a python bug. I doubt this is a tcl bug.
